Jonas Schweiger (Zuse Institute Berlin, Germany)
Jonas Schweiger studied Mathematics with a minor Business Administration at the Technical University of Berlin. Since then his focus is on optimization and stochastics. In 2006 he started at the Optimization department at the Zuse Institute Berlin (ZIB) as student assistant, working on wireless telecommunication networks. Together with his colleagues, he won the AIMMS/CPLEX MOPTA Modeling Competition 2009. In 2010, he finished his studies with his diploma thesis about multistage stochastic programming in strategic telecommunication network planning. Since then, he is working as research assistant at ZIB on the evaluation and optimization of gas distribution networks, where he is especially interested in network extension planning underuncertainty.
